So, I bought my first real pair of running/walking shoes!! I went to Fleet Feet toni
ght with Andy.
We both got new shoes and inserts. My new shoes are comfy. I’m wearing them right now! THESE are my new shoes. Here’s Andy in his new shoes. He looks kinda short in that pic, not sure why…
So, I went to the Avon Walk Expo today. It was somewhat informative. I was hoping for some kind of packing guide, but they didn’t really tell me how to go about packing all of our stuff. We have to bring a lot with us, including sleeping bags, and it all has to weigh less than 40 lbs. We’ll be staying overnight in tents, in our own bags. We don’t have to carry that stuff, the Walk Crew will bring everyone’s things to the tents in the evening.
We’ve added a new member to our team! Please go view our Team Page and see how we’re doing! And if you want to donate, Click HERE!!!! I’m 41% of the way there! Thank you so much for everyone’s help. This has been so rewarding, and I’ve only just started!

I wear Mizunos as one of the two pairs of running shoes I use. I like to alternate every other day. The Inspire is a good walking, workout shoe but not supportive enough of my damaged ankles to serve as a GREAT running shoe. Might I suggest getting another pair of shows to alternate on your walk?:) Try the Mizuno Wave Creations…love them.
I’m going to try putting my new insoles in my old shoes and see if I can get away without purchasing another expensive pair of shoes… We’ll see!
